A few months ago my husband spotted a new bread shop in the neighborhood and being bread lovers, both of us got super excited. We regularly buy baguette from there and I don’t find such quality bread anywhere else. I made a baguette sandwich recently and it’s become a regular meal in our home ever since.

Baguette Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 Baguette 12 inch
  • a few Lettuce
  • 1 Onion Sliced in rings
  • 1 Tomato sliced
  • 1 cup Tofu cubed
  • 1 tbsp Ranch Sauce
  • a pinch Salt
  • a pinch Pepper
  • 2 tsp Olive Oil

Instructions

Toast Baguette

  • Preheat oven to 375°
  • Halve the baguette and slice in the middle. Rub the baguette lightly with olive oil.
  • Arrange the slices in baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. The bread should be slightly brown.

Sandwich

  • Layer one side of the baguette with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, tofu, jalapeno pepper. Top it with Ranch sauce.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper. Close the sandwich and serve immediately.
